MS different models have been designed for plants making scaled ice that are both ashore and on board using both fresh and saltwater. In fact they are much used in the fishing-sector where fresh water is often lacking on smallboats. Also where there is sufficient fresh water, for either economical or ecological reansons it could be necessary to exploit the inexhaustible seawater.
